The Age of Daydreaming
(1964, feature, 35mm, black/white, 105 min.)
Director of photography:
MAFILM - Studio 3.
Jancsi and his fellows from university, having just graduated, are working on the development of a new technology in electronics. They soon have to face red tape and the "stone wall" of protected interests around which the "adult" society is build up. The recent past, the traditions of the Stalinist and Hungarian Nazi periods can not, of course, give them any orientation, either. - The film, belonging to the new wave, depicts through Jancsi's feelings and thoughts how the young people of the new generation reconsider their relationships to their friends, to each other, to the world of the adults, and it also shows the way they get rid of their illusions.
