Mr. Schneider is a conveyor. He’s among those that made money hand over fist at the beginning of the nineties. His company is founded on family tradition ever since his grandfather started his career as a flusherman. Mr. Schneider probably never would have risen above his friends – whom he still happily drinks and sings with – if it wasn’t Benedek. But the company hired the creative young man who never mentioned his real profession. He used to be a teacher and had never had anything to do with conveying. He made a fifth of the money he makes here. And Terka Schneider, the pretty daughter of the boss is around... The Schneiders live in a tasteless monster of a house, with Julcsa, the maid and Tobias, the general servant. Mrs. Schneider hopes for the increase of the company by the marriage of her daughter with Congressman Makács’s nephew. To make sure that they rise socially, she hires Hippolyt, the butler. But Hippolyt turns upside down their traditions, habits and private lives.
