Director of photography:
Árpás Rostás, master joiner, is an ambitious, dreaming young man. His idol is Michelangelo whose handwork has been admired for centuries. All of a sudden a great opportunity opens for him to prove hi talent and knowledge. He is asked to carry out the renovation of the hall of a former palace. He must employ assistants, buy materials, sign contracts, talk with the commissioner, the structural engineer, the local council, - oh, the late Michelangelo! He should change into an enterpreneur, who is able to find his way through the stormy waters of regulations, decrees and financing agreements and on top of this he should have significant capital and widespread social contacts. Árpád Rostás a master joiner, who had been brought up in various institutions as a fatherless, motherless gypsy boy, fails. HIs innate gift, diligence and the desire to break out prove pitifully insufficient.
