The story of three little girls with the family in focus. They are triplets: one is physically handicapped, the other blind and the third healthy. The two handicapped children are in state care and grow up without a family. The three sisters live at three different places, separated from each other, but they still have a carefree and happy relation. Their whole personality is so harmonious, kind and open, that in spite of their difficulties it is affection they evoke, never pity. Where do these spiritual and emotional reserves come from? From the warm attention and pedagogical knowledge of their tutors? From the unconditional devotion of their 18 year-old sister, who has been their link to the family and a mother since she was 13? From the figure of their father who lives in a small village, divorced and takes care of another four children? Or from the memory of the mother they hardly saw, who left them at the hospital?
