We ran into Zsolt and Juli at the 'Hold', then we went over to the 'A'. Zsolt stayed behind. A Dutch punk band was playing in the basement at the 'A'. I forget what they were called. We went up to the ground floor and got some drinks. Dora was there. Peter started talking to Mark and I went over to where Dora was standing. I couldn't remember whether she was still going out with András Szerb. I invited her to play ping-pong. She couldn't come but we agreed that we might run into each other the next night at the 'Hold'.
These lines could have been taken from our main character. Miklós' diary, if he wrote a diary. He's a graduate of the College of Applied Arts in Photography and Graphics. He's presently a press photographer for the Magyar Narancs and other periodicals. He formed a band with a few friends and plays lead guitar once or twice a month somewhere on stage in Budapest. He doesn't have a hard time meeting girls, but doesn't seem to find the right one. He's had two serious relationships in his life, but both went sour. He blames neither the girls for this, nor himself. The film presents his relationship with Dóra. It takes place in the summer of '92.
