Gábor Romándy, a Hungarian actor receives a letter from Israel informing him that his father, the famous archeologist, died in a year ago. He travels there right away. He meets Katherine, his father's young widow. Gábor, searching through the belongings of his father, discovers that his father kept an eye on his career all the time although he emigrated to Israel before the birth of his son, thus they could never meet. - A young filmmaker who is making a portait film about his father, asks Gábor to play his own father in a key scene. - Meanwhile Katherine and Gábor fall in love with each other, but first they have to clarify ther own emotions...
