Director of photography:
During a warm summer night, Robert, a naive 17 year old and Feri, the new, roma member of the high school drama group, are forced to deal with prejudices, that have existed longer then themselves.
When the group discusses the new boy's, Feri's arrival, some claim that he stinks. Robert hears this and notices that Feri is listening to the conversation from his hiding spot. When the two boys recognise each other, the humiliation is mutual. Feri escapes from the camp, Robert follows him to the dark summer night of the lazy Hungarian small town.
When Robert finally finds Feri at the closed down city beach, he is shocked to see him getting a shower there. Feri then sees him, bursts out in anger and pushes Robert into the pool. The fight of the boys' is then interrupted by the the sudden appearance of the spunky and angry night guard. The boys have to join forces to escape him. The adventure brings them closer, but is this enough for Feri to come back to the camp and rejoin the group? How can two 17 year old boys deal with the issue of prejudices against roma peaple?
This short is based on my experiences during high-school where I used to take part in the drama group. Its topic, the prejudice against gypsies is unfortunately even more relevant today than it was 15 years ago.
