Róbert Alföldi’s first feature, TRANQUILITY, will be introduced for the first time to the Italian audience, among ten other European films, at the Lecce Film Festival's competition.

The tenth edition of Festival del Cinema Europeo, recognised by the Minister of Culture and Fine Arts as an event of National Interest, takes place in Lecce from 31st March to 5th April 2009.

Róbert Alföldi’s first feature, Tranquility, will be introduced for the first time to the Italian audience at the festival. The adaptation of Attila Bartis’ critically acclaimed novel of the same title was produced by Unió Film, starring Dorottya Udvaros, Zalán Makranczi, Dorka Gryllus, and Judit Hernádi.
The Italian film competition kicking off on March 31, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The international jury, deciding about the festival’s Main Prize, the Golden Olive Tree, will be presided by Eva Zaoralová, Czech film critic and editor of the magazine „Film a doba”, and Artistic Director of Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
