The European Film Academy has recently invited Ferenc Török among its members.
"15th year of the Febiofest will mark yet another historical change: this year will bring along a separate competition section! Nevertheless, the method chosen is not to involve of the so-called expert juries, where a group of people evaluate the work of their colleagues; the point of departure for the competition is rather revolutionary: the array of 16 European films is going to be assessed by a special jury, composed of 33 selected filmgoers of various professions and age. This jury is to pick the best young European film. The author of the winning film will be rewarded the amount of 5.000 Euros to make future projects easier for them. The same amount – 5.000 Euros – will be given, in the form of the purchase of the copyright and copies, to the one who will decide to introduce the winning film in the Czech cinemas."
Csaba Bollók's Iska’s Journey, the big favourite of the 2007 international fest circuit has been selected for FebioFest's first feature film competition. Men in the Nude by Károly Esztergályos will also be screened in Prague as part of the "Another Shore" selection.
