6th Paris Cinema IFF offering an overview of contemporary cinema will be held in ten different Paris venues between 1st - 12th July. Benedek Fliegauf's critically celebrated ambient movie Milky Way has been invited to the competition crowned by the "Pari du Public", the Paris Cinema audience award. Ten features are competing at French capital's own film festival, which was founded in 2003 and has become a major early-summer meeting point, both for professionals and for film lovers. Milky Way is the first Hungarian competition title at Paris Cinema.
Following Paris, Milky Way will be showcased at FIDMarseille, the 19th edition of the prestigious international documentary film festival held in the capital of the Mediterranean. Fliegauf Benedek's last movie is included in fest's "Translating Europe" selection presenting films for which Europe is less a territory with borders than a fabric of translations, an intertwining of languages and cultures to be deciphered.
