Riga Arsenals International Film Forum and Zürich Film Festival show Ágnes Kocsis’ second feature in main competition. The Hungarian-Dutch-Austrian-French co-production was awarded by the Cannes FIPRESCI Jury in May.
Arsenals, taking over Riga every second autumn since 1986, begins on 17th September. The Latvian capital’s largest international film festival shows Ágnes Kocsis’ second feature in its main competition.
Adrienn Pál is about Piroska, “an overweight, alienated nurse who can’t resist cream-filled pastries. She works in the terminal ward of a hospital; her life is surrounded by death. One day she sets off to find her long-lost childhood friend. While tracing her recollections, she embarks on a paradox-filled voyage within her own memory and the memory of those she encounters.”
